Wasuno
(n.) the pursuit of adventure without losing yourself.
It wasn't a word until now. We checked.
Who we are
Freedivers, surfers, cyclists, sailors. The kind of people who travel for the depth, the wave, the climb, not the bar afterward.
Over the years we've chased that everywhere. Surf in Costa Rica. Sail in Croatia. Ski in France. Freedive in Bali. Different places, different sports. Same problem every time: finding the right local operator was harder than it should be.
A few years back I spent a whole day in Utah trying to book a heli-ski op. Phones rang out. Forms didn't reply. Voicemails sat. By evening I gave up and stayed on resort runs for the week. Decent skiing, just not the thing I'd come for.
Wasuno started from that frustration. The goal: make finding the right local operator easier than it is now, whatever sport you came for. Less dialing. Less guessing. More time on the actual thing.
For operators
The people who run these operations are usually in love with the thing they teach. The diver who's known the same reef for fifteen years. The guide who can tell you how every couloir feels in March. Marketing was never the dream.
Running it today pulls on time and energy from a dozen directions. The work that drew them in starts feeling like the side gig. Burnout follows.
That's what Wasuno is for.
